What are the different types of Emergence

Strategic Emergence is Player agency games based on strategy. Games that I have played are Metal Gear Solid 5 where enemies and the situation can differ, and there is also Don't Starve Together, with the incredible difficulty and slight unpredictability with biome placement, also has consistent rules which would encourage you to plan out after exploring.

Systemic Emergence is Player agency of using several different game systems in tangent within the game. Breath of the Wild was already mentioned so here are some more. Garry's mod is a mish mash sandbox with a ton of different game objects to spawn, move or even mesh together. Same goes with Minecraft where the build mechanic can help you with fighting, exploration, grinding or even making tedious mechanics easier.

Finally, we have Narrative Emergence, which is Player agency of making a narrative based on the way you play. One of the best examples I can think of is Sea of Thieves where you do simple pirate tasks, but the true experience is what you do and how you play in a multiplayer world. There is also Arma 3 but a lot of people argue it is not a game but a military simulator. But the "simulator" is heavily reliant on the people making the objectives and narrative.
